Buyers FAQs

What is the difference between buying a home through Nu move than a high Street Estate Agent?

We provide all the services of a traditional High Street Estate Agent. All viewings are arranged and confirmed by nu- move and carried out by vendors or nu-move property experts. We are your agents, so we will also look after and handle all of your offers.

Do I need to register my details with you?

If you would like to be kept updated on the latest properties that meet your requirements, we suggest that you use our registration form so that our team can send you email updates on what new properties we have been marketed.

Who conducts the viewings? How does the viewings process work?

A nu-move property expert will host the viewings where applicable (depending on the fee option the vendor has purchased), at all other times the vendor will conduct their own viewings. The vendor is best placed to carry out the viewings as they know their property best. Viewings can be arranged by calling nu-move on 0330 223 0331, one of our team will always be available to help book your viewing at a convenient time. Our office hours are Monday to Sunday 8am until 8pm.

How do I make an offer?

Simply contact us to make an offer, we will go through some details with you (if you’re in a chain, information regarding your mortgage etc.) and put your offer to the vendor straight away. We will also advise and then accept or decline your offers.

What is stamp duty?

You must pay Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) if you buy a property or land over a certain price in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The current stamp duty threshold is £125,000 for residential properties and £150,000 for non-residential land and properties. Use our calculator to see what you are expected to pay.
